A journey of discovery, challenges and finding beauty

Our story tells a tale of a dream to create a unique space that blends community, ecology and luxury. The Dream was to build a space that allows the community to realise the benefits of tourism and reduce their reliance on the ocean, and lastly to introduce the world to Bazaruto Island in a space that has a simple yet luxurious feel and as close to an authentic Mozambique experience as one can imagine. We stripped away the contrived resort feel to its bare necessities while designing a space filled with feeling, passion, and with our staff employed fully from the island, we hoped it would bring their joy and passion for their island home to you, our guests.
